literally attacked them
while the nice italian family next to us stared in disbelief
Pushing through our uncomfortable yet satisfying fullness, we stopped by Smags & Julia's apartment before going out for some nail painting & conversation (seriously). Based on some of the conversation topics, it can easily be said that the 10 of us are becoming quite comfortable with each other. We also learned that, if all else fails, Caroline could have a future in cartoon voicing or impersonations.
Hannah's friend helped her book a table at a club called YAB. It was really fun & would not have been complete without more flaming bottles (& more of the Grease soundtrack). The biggest down-side to clubs here: drink cards. When you get there, the bouncers give you a little card. The bartender punches it every time you buy a drink, which decrease in price as you go. When you're leaving, you have to go to a cashier & pay for everything. The catch: if you lose the card, you pay for the entire thing, which we learned last weekend could be upwards of 250 euro. Whoa. The other catch: even buying no drinks means paying something just for the card, as Alyssa & Mullen unfortunately learned last night. I guess it's like cover, but 20 euro cover is asking a lot for sticky floors & pushy Italians. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun & another successful birthday.
happy birthday hannah!!
Tonight we leave for Interlaken! Can't wait to be in a ski town, but in Switzerland! We're planning to canyon jump, take the Jungfrau train tour to the top of the Alps, eat Swiss chocolate & fondue, night sled, & kidnap a Bernese Mountain Dog. But first, we have a bus trip there with 6+ hours of music! Me & Alyssa may be the only excited ones, but no surprises there. Pictures & updates upon return!
(Maddy: I've been daydreaming of the Switzerland part of the Madeline computer game... I'll let you know compared to that!)
