we're still american

Last night we were feeling really adventurous & ended up at a bar called The Red Garter. Every Tuesday night they have beer pong tournaments, & when we heard the first place prize was a free trip through a student travel agency here, we were in! The bar also sold tacos for really cheap at the same time as the tournament - smart people! A couple mistakes were made throughout the night (including but not limited to having a pitcher before the tournament started, becoming way too competitive [Mullen actually spoke the words 'I hate you' to a competitor...], & pulling out some questionable dance moves), but with music like the Grease soundtrack & Temperature by Sean Paul, nothing is our fault.

After Italian, we found the greatest lunch place that quickly made it's way into our number one spot. They have olive spread, artichoke spread, pesto, & Mullen's favorite: turkey & mayo. Then we sat outside on the steps of the Santo Spirito & soaked up the sunlight. 'Twas perfect. Minus the pigeons that someone thought it'd be a good idea to start feeding..

we'll know we go too often when we don't fit through the doorway

do you like olives?

Then we had History of 20th Century Fashion. The teacher quickly went through the 1900s & discussed different things that we will be learning about. We'll watch movies about different designers & go to fashion-based museums. The three hours dragged on a bit, but we'll blame that on last night's music too?

Travel update: One week from tomorrow, we will officially be headed to Interlaken, Switzerland! I'm SO so excited to explore the Alps, canyon jump, eat Swiss chocolate, possibly ski, sled, & hopefully see lots & lots of Bernese Mountain Dogs. Danny said this was his favorite trip, & it was definitely at the top of my list; I can't believe it's so soon! What a life we're living.

Continental Congress (aka Headquarters) update: Over the past couple of hours, our sink/shower has produced all of about 3 drops of water. After asking questions like, "do you think he forgot to pay the water bill?" & "what if he locks us in here & turns the heat off too..", we discovered that we had, in fact, turned off the water ourselves. It looks just like a light switch! Hopefully there won't be any more updates like this. Or I'll probably just keep them to myself..
